  27.      Estimates of the percentage of sexually abused children in the United
  28. States ranges from about 25% to about 40%. Basically, nobody really knows the
  29. extent of the problem. I have found several of the people with whom I have
  30. worked to have been sexually abused as children. Most others have not been. I
  31. would imagine that the number of abductees who have suffered abuse probably
  32. mirrors the population as a whole. The subject is complicated, however, by the
  33. fact that some abductees feel that they have been sexually abused as a child
  34. (usually a one-shot, vague remembrance) that turns out to be an abduction
  35. event. In other words, the sexual abuse is a screen memory for the abduction
  36. event.

  38.      We are making good headway in training therapists and others in how to do
  39. regressive hypnosis of abductees and I might have someone for you in Oregon. In
  40. the meantime, I will be happy to talk with anyone with  whom you would like to
  41. look into your friend's situation. A conference call is fine, or the therapist
  42. could just call me directly. Any way you want to arrange it is fine with me.

  44.      Thanks for the kind words.  I have been involved with UFO research  since 1965 and I have never experienced a more contentious period. I
  45.  have also never seen so many mean-spirited critics before.  So, it is 
  46.  nice to hear some supportive sentiments for a change.  Thanks again.

  63. at MIT (or verify that this is indeed occuring)? Have any pinkish, 
  64. 1mm (along the major axis) hollow, egg-shaped objects been recovered 
  65. and/or analyzed?

  114. If the 25%-40% figure is based on individuals that have _admitted_
  115. sexual abuse, the actual percentage is probably much higher. I am
  116. assuming this data was obtained from a poll of some sort or data
  117. gleaned from physicians and psychologists? Not ALL people would
  118. _want_ to confess to being abused, while others, may have repressed
  119. the experience to the point of being _unaware_ themselves.

  124. I would think, according to the aforementioned statistics, that
  125. significantly more than "several" of your people have been
  126. sexually abused. I don't know how many people you have worked
  127. with, but let us say for argument's sake... 200 or so. If
  128. 25%-40% (according to your estimate) were abused, we are talking
  129. about 50-80 individuals.... significantly greater than _several_!
  130.

  134. merely "several", than you have uncovered something rather
  135. significant. Why would a random sampling of individuals
  136. claiming abduction, contain a very small percentage of
  137. abuse victims. By your term "several", am I safe to assume
  138. less than 5% have been abused?

  210.  cases? I was looking into it because after reading a few books and
  211.  reading this last case it has raised questions that I may have been a
  212.  victim of an abduction when I was young.....I feel silly about doing
  213.  this ..but There are too many questions about my childhood that need to

  230.     An analysis of an implant was conducted by a person connected with MIT. it
  231. was not of the variety that you described.  The conclusion that he  came to was
  232. that it was inconclusive.  However, it did not seem metallic,  as memory serves
  233. me.  I am being a little bit not forthcoming here  because I believe that he
  234. will have a piece about it in the upcoming proceedings of the MIT conference
  235. and I don't want to steal his thunder.

  254. Las Vegas, Nevada. Robert Bigelow is supporting the endeavor. Right now I can
  255. give you no information other than what I have said. I do not even know where
  256. in Atlanta the event will be held. I can probably provide that information as

  347. and would like to contact you by mail if possible. One involves a 5 
  348. month missing time and another is involves a 61 yr old lady that has 
  349. had some unusal experiences since she was 13 yrs. old. She is now 
  350. under going regressive hypnosis by a very well train and 
  351. professional person in this field.
